• LinkedIn is a great tool for finding out about people, but it’s also possible to use LinkedIn as a vehicle for making connections and networking with other professionals. If you want to do this, you need to make sure that your profile is as clear as possible so that people can easily find out about who you are and what you do.
• Use keywords in your summary section of the “About Me” section—these will help potential employers or clients find out about relevant aspects of yourself when searching for job postings online or through other means on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter!

Use the headline to sell yourself.

• Be specific: Don’t just list off vague qualifications like “I have experience with XYZ company.” Instead, focus on specific examples of work done by others who have hired similar people with similar qualifications. For example: “I worked as program manager for an organization that was looking into improving their customer service process” will give potential employers more detail than just saying “I’ve worked in customer service before.”

Grow your network.

LinkedIn is a great tool for growing your network. It’s one of the best ways to meet new people, and it can also help you connect with people you already know. If you’re looking for introductions, this guide will help you find the right people in your network and get them more involved in helping grow yours!

Always list your skills.

This makes it easy to find people who are familiar with what you do, which is great if they know someone else who might need the same skill set as well!

If you’re not sure what skills or experience is most important to employers, take a skills assessment. This will help identify your strengths and weaknesses so that you can build a profile on LinkedIn that highlights the ones that are most relevant to employers.

Mental health at work is now a required topic in all business education and training programs. People have the right to healthy workplaces, and it’s important that they are enabled to take an active role in managing their own mental health. Reducing mental workplace illnesses reduces absenteeism, improves productivity, safety, and satisfaction – and saves money. Workplace interventions that focus on individuals can prevent future mental health issues before they emerge, helping people to work through their difficulties more effectively. Every organization is responsible for its employees’ wellbeing and well-being matters at work because if you don’t look after yourself, who will?

We have added a few actions you can take toward improving your mental health.

Stay Active
Researchers say that increased physical activity, of any kind, can improve depression symptoms.  It’s important that you find an activity that you enjoy in order to feel better. Some activity suggestions: dancing, running, swimming, trying a new sport, etc.

Talk
It’s important that you speak about what is bothering you. Talk with a loved one, join online forums or reach out to a therapist. When our experiences are normalized, you experience emotional freedom and it’s good to know that you’re not alone!

Get enough sleep
Sleep can impact your mood, energy, and motivation. Make sure you sleep 7-9 hours a day.

Start your day with a positive mindset
Mornings set the tone for the rest of the day. Practice yoga, spend 10 minutes meditating, make your bed while listening to songs that boost your mood, or try stretching exercises.

Consume a healthy diet
Food is fuel for your body! Food helps you build strength, it gives you energy and allows all your body systems to work. So, make healthy choices.

Take time for things you love
Always make sure to do things you love! We all have activities that we enjoy doing. Take the time on a regular basis for these things.

What friendship really is in our lives?

It is August 7th and it is the International Day of Friendship! Friendships can be perceived differently, they can change but they still play an important role in our lives. WiPjobs has read an inspiring article on www.theatlantic.com about how friendships change through life, and now we would like to invite you to discuss the values of friendship in our contemporary society.

“We should definitely meet up sometime soon!“ This is the phrase that we all can relate to (at least partially). People tend to say this to someone who was (or maybe still is considered as) close. Now, it may just be hard to find some time to catch up among all the things that a person has to deal with in his/her life. It is a sad yet natural true of our society.

The most important moment about friendship is that it is a voluntary and informal relationship that both sides appreciate and try to create something out of it. At the ‘grown up‘ age, friendships might make space for romantic relationships or job-related issues… But this is the most amazing thing about it: even when friends do not see each other regularly, the real friendships tend to survive and stay strong, which means friends always know that they have someone to depend on. And that is beautiful!

The real friends are the ones who care for you and who wish you all the best, and you are the real friend if you do the same. Friendship gives you someone who you can trust and who lets you be true to yourself. Even though at the adult age people tend to spend less time with their true friends, they also tend to maintain this relationship, and it is usually ‘reanimated’ at the older age when the kids are already raised and the work is done. And we do not talk here about the acquaintances that (usually) are temporary, but about the deep friendships that (usually) are really strong.

To celebrate the International Day of Friendship we would like to suggest you some tips how to maintain the strong relationship even though some circumstances do not let you meet up with your best friend regularly. (Find these in the infographic, too!)

1. Fix some time to catch up with one another regularly: does a phone call on Sunday at 9 p.m. every two weeks sound good? Let him/her know what is going on in your life and hear what your friend is saying.
2. Initiate the meeting in real life: if possible, meet up for a dinner or a cup of coffee (the more often, the better). Because we all know that the live talk is the best.
3. Plan a trip together: it will help you to get some rest and travelling will make your relationship even stronger.
4. If you discover something inspiring (a song/a book/a movie/etc) and are sure that your friend would be interested in it, don’t wait until you meet up and share it now because it means that you care for your friend. And this is great because now is the only time!
5. If you miss your friend, say so. It will be the best reminder that you appreciate this friendship!

Friendships are about sharing, and sharing is caring: so care for your friend and he/she will absolutely care for you no matter what! Try to share more moments together because it is worth it.
