Working conditions

The Czech Republic joined the EU in 2004 and therefore is an equivalent partner for the international companies. If you are a resident of an EU country, you do not need to get neither work permit nor visa. However, those who are willing to stay in the Czech Republic for longer periods of time (more than 90 days) have to inform the local Foreign Police. The non-EU residents must have a visa and a work permit if they want to work in the country.

The Czech Republic has quite ordinary rules: it has a 40-hour week (8 hours/day). Normally, the employees tend to have 4 week of holiday per year.

The most popular positions amongst foreigners searching for jobs in the Czech Republic are those that are usually multilingual: Customer Service Advisor, Inside Sales Representative, Tourism Specialist, Recruitment Specialist, etc.

Plus, international companies often tend to offer attractive conditions to their employees (for instance: private medical care, language courses or practical support).
