Jobs in the Czech Republic

Are you wondering to challenge yourself and gain some work experience abroad? Would you like to discover the Central Europe? Have you been to the Czech Republic (aka Czechia)? There are plenty of language jobs offered at international companies located in Czechia and you can truly find something suitable for yourself!

Working conditions

The Czech Republic joined the EU in 2004 and therefore is an equivalent partner for the international companies. If you are a resident of an EU country, you do not need to get neither work permit nor visa. However, those who are willing to stay in the Czech Republic for longer periods of time (more than 90 days) have to inform the local Foreign Police. The non-EU residents must have a visa and a work permit if they want to work in the country.

The Czech Republic has quite ordinary rules: it has a 40-hour week (8 hours/day). Normally, the employees tend to have 4 week of holiday per year.

Why is the Czech Republic attractive?

As Czechia is a member of the EU, there are lots of jobs offered by international companies. Even though it is well appreciated and easier for you if you can speak Czech, international companies rarely require that. It is much more important to have relevant skills and the willingness to learn. Language skills are very welcome at these jobs. The languages that are at their peak these days are: English, German, Italian, French, Spanish… That is because international service centers tend to develop some parts of their business in Central or Eastern Europe nowadays.

The main international industries offering jobs in the Czech Republic are the ones that are also constantly growing worldwide: IT, telecommunications, finances, leisure/tourism, etc.

The most popular positions amongst foreigners searching for jobs in the Czech Republic are those that are usually multilingual: Customer Service Advisor, Inside Sales Representative, Tourism Specialist, Recruitment Specialist, etc.

Plus, international companies often tend to offer attractive conditions to their employees (for instance: private medical care, language courses or practical support).

So, are you willing to discover the beauty of the Czech Republic? Have you started dreaming of living in Prague?
